A few days before his big summer mass, Samsung is preparing to uncover his new folding smartphones, Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7. The leakage from the One UI 8 intestines, the future Samsung user interface, just offered us our first animated overview of what it promises to be the first “tri-sheet” smartphone of the brand.
The code name of this new kind is “Multifold 7”, while the secret remains in its trade name. However, it is “Galaxy G Fold” that would hold a rope, but as a designation it is the very form of a device that attracts and fascinates. Animation, originally planned to mark the location of the NFC chip, is a gold mine. We discover a device equipped with not one but two hinges, allowing the screen to be folded into three different parts.
Design in “G”, Samsung’s reaction to Huawei
Unlike Mate XT of Huawei, a pioneer of the genre who decided to fold in “S” (one curtain in, another out), Samsung chose a different approach. Both hinges consist of inward and create a form that resembles the letter “G”. It seems that this concept that Samsung Display has already explored under the name “Flex G” prefers protection of a huge screen after the device is closed.
Animation reveals architecture in three panels. The left panel would accommodate a photographic block, in a style that he remembered the recent Fold. To the central panel would adapt to the cover screen necessary for fast use without having to develop an animal. This exclusivity will have costs and rumors cause a starting price that could exceed 4 million South Korean won, which is approximately 2,500 to 3,000 euros, which immediately places it as a luxury product like Mate XT of Huawei. His marketing could also be limited to certain markets such as South Korea and China.
