Samsung has integrated Google’s generative AI image tool, Nano Banana, directly into its Now Brief feature, transforming the daily briefing into an interactive creative experience. With Nano Banana enabled, a recent photo from your Gallery automatically appears in the Memories section of your briefing and comes with ready-made styling suggestions such as turning a skyline into a neon cyberpunk poster or painting a pet portrait in watercolor. Tapping a suggestion opens the Gemini app where Nano Banana processes the image, allowing you to immediately save, copy, or share the stylized result.
This integration marks a significant enhancement in user experience by embedding AI creativity into everyday habits instead of requiring separate AI apps. Now Brief’s AI-powered prompts encourage more frequent experimentation with image editing by delivering context-aware suggestions alongside your daily summaries.
To enable Nano Banana, users must activate it within Now Brief’s settings under “Nano Banana Image Creation.” This feature is opt-in and requires updating Samsung’s Personal Data Intelligence app. It is available on recent Galaxy devices including the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, S25 Edge, S24 series, and Galaxy Tab 11 devices.
In terms of privacy, Now Brief accesses your local Gallery to select the photo but the handoff to Gemini is manual. Image generation occurs within Gemini with Google’s safety filters and account-level controls applying to the outputs. Users can disable Nano Banana prompts anytime.
Overall, this feature enhances the Galaxy user experience by making creative AI tools seamlessly accessible within a familiar daily routine, encouraging frequent use and experimentation with stylized image creation directly from personal memories.
