Following Apple’s launch of the M5 MacBook Pro last month, speculation persisted about several new products the company might release before year-end. However, it now seems increasingly unlikely that Apple will introduce any additional products in 2025.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently suggested a possible product refresh, noting Apple’s preparation of its stores with holiday-themed displays. Meanwhile, several third-party retailers began listing the HomePod mini as discontinued or low in stock, hinting at a potential new model on the horizon. Despite these signs, Apple’s official holiday campaign rolled out without any new hardware announcements—aside from the limited-edition iPhone Pocket, naturally.
So, is there still hope for new Apple releases in the final weeks of 2025? Let’s explore what we know about potential late-November and early-December product launches, what might be coming soon, and when these devices are expected to hit the market.
New HomePod mini, Apple TV, and AirTag Updates Likely
Apple has a history of debuting new Macs in November, with fresh versions featuring the M3 and M4 chips launching in the past two years. In 2022, the company also unveiled the latest Apple TV 4K around this period. Still, late-November product launches aren’t guaranteed. Notably, post-mid-November hardware introductions have been rare—such as the AirPods Max arriving on December 15, 2020, and the 16-inch MacBook Pro in late November 2019, followed by the Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR in mid-December.
While Apple occasionally releases products after its holiday shopping campaign begins, it’s an uncommon occurrence. Rumors suggest Apple already has new devices ready, but is strategically waiting for the optimum moment. Most likely, the company plans to launch updated HomePod minis and Apple TV models featuring advanced Apple Intelligence capabilities, including an all-new, more conversational Siri. However, the enhanced Siri experience isn’t expected until 2026.
As for the AirTag 2, Apple may be following a similar timeline to the original AirTag, which spent years rumored before finally launching after a two-year wait. Even if these products don’t arrive in 2025, the first quarter of 2026 is a likely window for their release.
