How to Extract in ARC Raiders

0

You can clear ARC enemies, win every fight, and fill your inventory with as much loot as possible, but making it out on time is not something to play around with. Surviving the raid is only half the job; extraction is the entire point.

What Extraction Actually Means

Extracting successfully means everything you collected during the raid will come back with you to Speranza, and when you don’t, you lose everything. The game runs on a countdown, and once it hits zero, the raid is over, no questions asked. That’s why extraction ultimately determines everything you get to keep.

Types of Extraction Points

There are different maps available in ARC Raiders, and each one offers different extraction options. Knowing which ones are available before you drop in is one of the best ways to prepare for a successful escape:

1 Cargo Elevators

These are the most common extraction options you’ll come across. They’re available in several locations, including Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport, making them a reliable default for most runs.

2 Metro Stations

Another standard option, Metro Sunies, frequently appears in Buried City and Stella Montis. So if you’re running those maps, there’s a good chance this will be your primary exit point.

3 Air Shafts

This one serves a similar purpose in maps like Blue Gate, offering a straightforward way out when other options aren’t nearby.

4 Raider Hatches

Finally, Raider Hatches is in a category of its own; they work differently from every other extraction point on this list, and they’re worth understanding separately.

Wherever you are, these extraction points are visible on the map, so you can plan your route ahead and safely make your way to the exit.

How Standard Extraction Works

Extraction points mostly follow the same basic routine: you reach the zone, activate a console or interact with a terminal outside the exit, and a countdown begins along with a loud alarm.

That exact alarm draws enemies to your location and signals to other players that you are trying to leave. Because of that, it quickly becomes one of the most dangerous moments in the game.

What you need to do now is hold your position until the extraction vehicle arrives or the exit opens. Once it does, you can interact with the final console to complete the extraction. If you miss it, you may still have a second chance, but only if you remain inside the zone.

Raider Hatches: The Quieter Way Out

If you want a quieter way out, Raider Hatches skip all of that. However, they do require a Raider Hatch Key, which is something you need to find, craft, or purchase before the raid even begins.

Once you have one, everything becomes much smoother. Raider Hatches is probably the safest extraction option available, especially when you are carrying valuable loot. Just remember to prepare the key ahead of time because there’s no other way to get it; you either brought one, or you didn’t.

What Happens When Time Runs Out

Once the raid time is over, everything becomes unbearable. Orbital strikes begin targeting the area, and there is no way to escape them. If you are still outside an active extraction zone when the timer runs out, everything you collected will be lost. So even when it feels like time is against you, it is still better to try saving your loot than to give up entirely.

Extraction Is the Real Win Condition

In ARC Raiders, it doesn’t matter how many kills you get or how much loot you collect, because the real success comes from extraction. The only thing that truly matters is the loot you manage to keep. That being said, you need to understand how the system works, plan your route ahead of time, and leave yourself enough time to get out safely. Everything else you do during the raid is only part of what actually matters.
